Traveling Across the Big Pond

Planning a TRIP!

We're in the process of planning a trip to England and Scotland. We'll be gone for a couple of weeks. Very exciting!

We're flying into London... then flying to Glasgow or Edinburgh. We'll be renting a car and driving around to different areas of Scotland for about 1 1/2 weeks. Then we'll drive back through the countryside to London for 3 or 4 days of sightseeing there...

We're taking my grandmother, Sallie with us. She's never been out of the country before. We're also taking little Wyatt with us. He has a passport and everything. I'm a little nervous about the logistics, but we'll sort it out soon.

Right now, I'm looking into booking hotels and B & B's. A bit daunting, but I think I'm making some progress...

Superbowl Sunday

I'm planning on making it to Abilene, TX for our annual celebration of Superbowl Weekend on Feb. 4, 2007, but that will probably be my last trip before the baby comes in April.

Chicago

Patrick has a business trip coming up to Chicago and I think I'll tag along...

We'll make a long weekend of it and spend some time downtown.

I've not spent much time there before. I don't have any desire to go in the winter because it's so cold... I think this will be the perfect time of year to go. Will post some pictures on this site when we get back.

Grounded

I am unable to do any traveling since I'm taking shots and doing in-vitro this summer... But I'm hopeful that I can go to Houston in September to see my new niece. Natalie is due in mid September.

I'm also hopeful that I might make it to New York City before Christmas. I'd like to visit my cousin, Jaime there and my good friend, Bill.


*Follow-up: I managed to make it to Houston TWICE in September to see Laura and her family. Thanks to a friend of theirs, I was able to get my shots on the road!
